First of all, this is my first review on Amazon. I don't usually take the time, but felt that it was warranted in this case.I read the reviews for this drive prior to making the purchase, and chose this one because it had such good reviews for the XBOX ONE. That being said, I needed it desperately for game storage as I bought the Day One console and was limited to 500GB.When I plugged in this device, it was recognized as media storage only for music and general media, not formatted for XBOX games and apps. There was an instruction card supplied (as well as a USB 3.0 cable) on how to format the drive, however the XBOX ONE was not allowing me to do as instructed. I then spent not one, not two, but THREE tech support call on-line with Microsoft explaining to me that there was a partition on the drive that had to be removed in order to format it properly. Two of the three techs told me that. The third, told me that the manufacturer probably labeled the cord as USB 3.0 and didn't send me what I'd paid for, etc. (not true), etc. - so here's where the 5-stars come in...I went on-line to www.oyendigital.com to get their contact number, dialed it, was not left in a queue - someone picked up the phone within a minute - told me they have had this issue on occasion since the November 2014 firmware update that XBOX did - and resolved the issue over the phone with me in LESS than five minutes. I DID NOT have to remove any partitions, I DID NOT have to return anything - I ended my frustration with one simple phone call to the manufacturer who was exceedingly helpful, spoke English, answered the phone right away (on a Monday morning when you would think they would be busy after the weekend) - so... kudos to you Oyen Digital for renewing my faith in at least ONE company out there with outstanding Customer Support.I highly recommend this drive. No issues, plenty of storage, fast, and great customer support is there if you need them.You want morr storage? This item is on a top 10 devices list! ??I am a hardcore gamer. there for I own ALOT of games. And the new Gen consoles require you to install games in order to play. Which is not bad. Actually it improves the quality of the game. By reducing load times and improving frame rates. But on the Xbox One you Only get 500 GB HDD. Which is where the troubles starts. Because the next Gen only come with 500 GB HDD It forces you to uninstall games. Which sucks. So my father wanted to buy one for my mother (who also plays games.) So he went to gamestop and asked the guy how an External HDD Works on the Xbox One. (The thing about most gamestop employees are they are in experts on video games but usually not tech stuff like External HDD.) SO he tells my father that all external HDD drives require you to move games back to the internal HDD In order to play them. So my dad gave up looking. So then my Internal HDD was at 90% used. So I went to google and searched for a External that was compatible with the Xbox One. Then after about 30 min I found Oyen Digital. And then I found this External HDD which states that IT IS compatible to the Xbox One. So I read the reviews and almost all where positive feed back. So I purchased this product and I could not be more happier. Now I have room for game plus DLC content. If you need more memory for you Xbox One then buy this HDD for Xbox One.EDIT: This external drive is actually FASTER than the internal drive on the Xbox One, making downloads, uploads, & game start-up superiorly FASTER than before, like 1/3-1/2 the seconds/minutes (GTA V for example) quicker. Over time, this feature will more than pay for itself, & in terms of reliability, I've read that many external drives simply "die-out" over time. This company seems pretty serious about winning over their customers or life, & at least in my case, they have with me. DON'T go for cheapest, GO FOR THE BEST!Fantastic product & price! I bought this for my Xbox One & it nearly tripled my storage capacity after the Xbox update installations, & it is lightning-fast, bearing absolutely no difference in loading/functioning speed between apps & games being played from the external drive as opposed to the internal one. I highly recommend this product, & while it's not the cheapest external drive available, it's quality & their technical support are more than worth the difference in price, should you need them. Trust me, this company stands behind their products, & a customer's satisfaction is assured when or if you do encounter an issue. My USB cable was causing my Xbox One to re-recognize the device on several occasions causing disruptions in my game or streaming, & upon discovering another Amazon customer with the same issue, I called the company's technical support team & they sent me a new cable immediately. I will definitely be a customer for life, & will return to them for all my storage needs. A+++++ Product & Company in my book.It was very easy to setup this external hard drive with my Xbox One S. The storage capacity with 2TB is quite a lot. I used ours to install all the games we have without using up much of the storage. I recently needed to contact customer service due to an issue of the hard drive not able to be read by Xbox no matter what I tried to do. I was helped by Steve, a customer service rep. All contact made via email. There was a quick response with other things to try first. After that didn’t work, the RMA label was attached to the email so I could return the product at no cost to me. Once they received the package, I was contacted by Steve informing me they received the hard drive and will be mailing a new on quickly. I highly recommend using this product if you need or want an external hard drive that comes with excellent storage options and excellent customer service.Excelente servicio, el producto llego en tiempo y forma no tengo queja alguna.
