I know, I know, my name doesn't really correspond to the product when you are looking at the price but let me clear myself. This USB-C hub is not the first hub in mind when it comes to money value. At 140$ CAD, it is on the expensive side compared to many other USB-C hubs from other reputable brands such as Ugreen and Anker. Satechi is similar to Apple, matching its esthetics and unfortunately also the price. However, they do often do sales and I got mine over a year ago under 100$ CAD (still doesn't match the price of other brands).This particular hub has a feature that I think should be mandatory for every hub in existence: detachable main cable. The main purpose of this cable is to be a "on the go adapter" so there are 2 USB-C cables included: a long and a short flat one. So if one cable is defective, you can just switch the cable instead of the whole hub.For the IO, it is pretty solid. With 2 USB-A ports that can go up to 5 gb per second (havent tested its full potential yet tho), SD and Micro SD, 2 USB-C one for charging and one for data, HDMI, VGA and Ethernet. The USB-A ports are meant for data transfer but they still allow power passthrough and charge my phone but a significative slower speed. My mouse that has a USB-C dongle works fine within both the data and charging ports. I only used the HDMI for display so far and I dont have a problem. displaying 1080p at 60 hz so I cannot tell you about its full capability, same story for the VGA or Ethernet. I do wish it had a display port but for something on the go I don't think you can find a DP port everywhere.My only regret is to not use it at its full potential. many ports are left unused so if you are not using all those ports mentioned, there are also other solid choices from Satechi and other brands.All and all, I still do think it is a pretty nice piece of tech, a bit on the expensive side but sill goodTake my opinion like a grain of saltMy verdict for this hub: worth when on sale
