So.. 2022 version is more close to $400 here while 2023 version is $350.. Dunno why but I got the item and seen the cover orientation where the magnet hold is and it’s simply that the monitor cover attaches on the left side AND the bottom middle side behind the screen. In other words the “width” of the stand measures the same as the height of the monitor’s side.It means more work. Now surprisingly I kind of do that with this other monitor with a stand which doesn’t have a magnet attachment except for the folded position to keep held into a triangle to prop as as stand, with a clip or groove where the monitor slides in, and then clips on the covers side to snap and close covering the screen. Yea it’s hard to picture and make sense of what im saying.Anywho, when I saw reviews and videos of the lg gram view + it’s the 2022 version where the stand is opposite of what I said earlier, it’s magnet attaches back of the monitor near the base behind and you roll up the cover to the screen and cover /protect it and roll/fold back to form a stand to prop the monitor up. It’s simpler, now the cover of course this time is as wide as the monitor width. I mean just look at the stock pics. I easily overlook that.So, will this be a problem? Why did they change the design? Unless if you plan on using your external monitor in TALL mode then no problem here for a quick open and fold back to stand.Widescreen /landscape mode as what most people do it’s open/unfold then detach to reattach to bottom of screen and fold back to stand.So I’m returning mines
