It came with multiple adapters.Instead I recommend LaCie d2 Professional 6TB USB-C: Same price, 5 yr warranty and 5 yr data recovery warranty vs. 3 year warranty and 2 yr data recovery warranty for the BlackBox. Also, when copying from my SSD, 232 mb/s for the LaCie vs. 146mb/s (and142mb/s) for the Glyph BlackBoxes. Note: Copy speed is limited to about the speed of the slower drive when copy from a slower hard drive.PRO: Well build, quite, better than average warranty. Therefore, I purchased 2 of these. However, both failed (failed to recognize format) within a month when connected to my USB 3.1 ports. They did not fail and continued to recognize format when connected to my USB 3.0 ports. According to my computer manufacturer, USB 3.1 ports use different electronics.Since both failed, I returned them and purchased the LaCie. Before they failed, I copied from my SSD drive 54 videos (39.65 GB) and timed it. The first BlackBox took 4 min 31 sec, the other slightly longer. The identical copy was only 2 min 51 sec for the LaCie de Professional 6TB.CON: In addition to the failures described in the foregoing paragraph, the BlackBox has a protected partition so you cannot format the complete drive using Windows disk management. Instead you must remove the partitions using Command Prompt (AKA cmd.exe) clean command. Other external hard drive manufactures include a program that cleans and formats hard drives for Windows. If Glyph provided a format program or else provided instruction on their web site on how to clean and format the complete hard drive for windows, this would not be an issue.Fast as hell. I'm using with an Alienware 13 that has a Thunderbolt 3 port, and although it was a bit of a pain to set it up for Windows 10, the support staff were superb in getting me the right information. Their web site proved useless for this. Note that it comes formatted for Apple, so this is not plug-and-play for Windows. It does come with both USB C to C cables, and USB C to A. It does not seem to run particularly hot, and It also does come with a wall wart power power supply. It is not USB powered. To give some idea of the speed, it used to take almost an hour on my Windows 7 computer with a WD My Book 1TB hard drive to back up my Documents folder. With the BlackBox Pro and my Windows 10 computer, the same thing took no more than 15 minutes.I returned two less expensive (Seagate) products because they were formatted for Windows and I saw no reason to hassle with Mac drivers. I was looking for an external hard disk to use as a Time Machine. It worked right out of the box. The only minor downside is that it's a bit noisy in my mostly SSD environment. Bottom line- if you are shopping for a iMac/Mac backup you'll be pleased.Picked up the 6TB version to be used out on set during production. We've had this out on 2 shoots so far and it is working as advertised, which is all you can ask for. It is a large drive, think a little smaller than a GDrive. It is externally powered. It is quiet, as it is currently offloading 5TB of footage right next to me now. Transfer speeds are as advertised. I do really like their 3-2-1 warranty, we retire most drives after a year, and knowing during that year they will overnight a new drive if we need it is great. We have been looking for a replacement for the GDrive and Lacie family and I believe we have found it. We will be picking up more and will be trying out their other products.I'll update this review periodically as we put this drive through its paces.I ordered 2 drives. Both worked great, only gripe was that one had a noisy fan. Good value, but I probably will stick with the Lacie rugged raid drives in the future. I do like the lighter/slower Glyph drives a lot.Additionally, they are quite large and do heat up. Make sure you have adequate ventilation around them.I just got this drive now. As a photography student you take a lot of photos!! I didnt like not being able to have them not on one drive. You know it's bad when you're 4tb drive is almost full!! So I got this larger one to keep them all together. I had also been volunteering and dont like taking my only main drive with me. I've seen and heard about people doing that and its stolen. So so fat this is great. Love the extra casing and storage and not to huge so I can easily carry it around. I normally go with major brands like San Fisk etc for this kind of thing but am really pleased with the quality would buy again!!Perfect for the price and very easy to use. I am a music producer by trade, so I go through folders and files by the droves. I bought a second hard drive since my first hard drive was getting way too full. Always a great product by Glyph.Every year, I buy a new one. And every year, I am satisfied.
