I had a much longer cable in my car, and people kept catching it even though it was mostly bound, which was causing loose connections. This new cable is sturdier and shorter. Thus not getting snagged and keeping a solid connection at all times. it's working like a charm and, bonus now there's no loose connection power flicker.I was having disconnect issues on android auto and after reading that several people blamed it on a slow USB cable I bought this one, no more issuesWorth every penny, I used it in my car with an Anker powerdrive speed 2 and after 4 long years it only slow charges, even tried it in a 2018 Equinox usb port, same result. 10/10 would buy again. It worked great up until about the 9 month mark in my car for Android Auto, now it often disconnects. A generic one in my other car that was half the price is still going strong after a year.Edit: Anker Support reached out to me and offered me a replacement or a refund, so that was a very nice and unexpected gesture. Excellent customer service and refreshing to see a company stand behind their product. This brand just doesn't miss. The quality you get for the price you pay don't add up. I have yet to have any issues after many years of owning various Anker producs. These cords last way longer than OEM and in most instances outperform them.It is very fast!I was having much trouble finding a cable that would work well with Android Auto as the cables I have never held a solid connection and would disconnect after 3 minutes. This cable has solved my Android Auto issues and works flawlessly for it. It holds a solid connection and hasn't once disconnected. For the price it's a durable cable and charges well. Highly recommended!I feel so at ease knowing I have this Anker USB C cable. I bought it specifically for my car, so when my phone’s battery is running low, or I need to use the Navigation app, or simply want to listen to downloaded music on my phone, I just plug my cable in and I’m good to go.. i plan to buy a couple more, so I can keep one in all my vehicles…This was purchased based on recommendation. My review will get lost in the thousands of reviews raving about this product, but i felt obliged to share my experience. In terms of presentation, you cannot fault them, they are genuinely the best out there. To start the product was doing what it is supposed to do and that is fast charge your device. However, after 3-4 months of use, 1 out of 3 stopped working completely, the other 2 became useless slow charging cables. To be fair, i never contacted Anker and they may have replaced the items for me, but if you are looking for a permanent charging solution, just buy the cable sold by Samsung. This was purchased for a Note 8.I already have an Anker micro USB cable which is red and has a nice simple velcro tab to hold together when coiled up.I ordered this USB Type C cable in grey for some newer devices but found that this one does not have a velcro strip on the cable but is held in a open ended pouch apparently for travelling...It looks like if you want it in a pouch order grey, if you keep it coiled up order red. This information does not seem to appear on the Amazon website. It's a good quality cable if a bit expensive.Anker make excellent cables. They're my go-to source for most of my electronics cable needs and this USB C cable is no exception. Build quality is excellent and the braded cable is very robust - so far it's even resisted being chewed by my cats. Certainly not the cheapest USB cable but the excellent build quality and very tough cable will ensure that it lasts a good long time so it's actually very cost effective. Highly recommended.Having used Anker for the last 2-3 years for my iPhone I've been very pleased. Their cables are a good, strong quality, and I also have a powerbank from them too which works great. However now that I've moved over to the Pixel 2 XL, I don't think their cables are quite up to speed yet. This cable charges my phone at an alarmingly slow rate - I'm talking about 5% per half hour, with the phone locked and on standby. The cable although sturdy, doesn't really have that quality about it. When I shake it there's actually a little rattle too at the USB-C end.As I mentioned, I think Anker are a good brand and they were my go-to, but as the Pixel 2 XL is a relatively new phone, I don't think Ankers cables are up to scratch for them yet. I'll probably purchase a USB-A to USB-C from Google instead. It'll be a lot more expensive but at least I know it'll be fully compatible.Bought a new car which had android auto. This means your phone uses your cars media screen for navigation. However the phone kept disconnecting from the car. Suspecting it was the budget cable I was using, decided to try a high quality cable. Since switching to this cable, I've not had a single disconnection, so will worth the bit extra over budget cables
